Oakley's True Love

Oakley LOVES chocolate! I thought dirt was her true love, but I was wrong. As soon as we walk in the door at Grandma Thompson's, she says " Choco, choco, choco!!!" She also asks for it frequently throughout the day, and for breakfast, lunch, and dinner....

Cedar City

We first saw this when we walked by at night, it was creepy
Tori and I at 'A Midsummer Night's Dream"
Classic Steph look. HA!
freakish dolls

All of the Thompson gals went down to Cedar for a weekend (minus Lynds...we missed her!). We saw the music man, and a midsummer nights dream. It rocked! My fav was the music man of course (I'm a big fan of musicals people). We had LOTS of crazy fun! and got NO sleep. But that was ok, because there were no kiddos to look after! One day, I will beat Tori at Nertz......

Minnesota

Twins vs Yankees (my first ML game, it was fun!)
Brandon was mad at the gross eel

Brandon had a conference in MN for a week, and I decided to go with him. Oaks stayed at her grandma's house and did AWESOME! i mean really, I don't think she really had a chance to realize she missed us! She was too busy doing fun stuff too. But when I came home she snuggled with me for like an hour. That just doesn't happen. I LOVED it. She is so sweet!

Brandon and I went to an aquarium, and the Twins game, ate lots of yummy food, and enjoyed just doing whatever the heck we wanted. Wait, did I leave out the Mall of America??? We were like 5 min away, and you better believe I went there everyday and shopped! It was amazing.
I missed Oakley like CRAZY! but we sure had fun! I am glad we have such awesome family that took great care of oaks while we were gone.

Camping

picking dandylions
AND playin in the dirt of course

We got to go camping with our good friends, the Garfield's, of course all of my pics are of the oaks, but the everyone else had fun too! :)

Bear Lake

She
LOVES
dirt!!!!

Bear Lake is a summer tradition for us in August. Me, Brandon, and Oakley. We loved the sand and mud and freezing water!

Camping

hiking

Oaks and "macaaw" aka Grandma

Playing in the snow!
LOVING the dirt! I think she followed a beetle under there....
What every child should be allowed to look like once in a while...homeless

We went camping at Mirror Lake with my family, and we had SO much fun! We were a little nervous that we would get NO sleep, but Oaks did pretty good, probably because she was worn out from playing so hard! She seriously was in heaven! She loved every part of camping, and it was so fun to enjoy it with her! We went fishing, canoeing, hiking, ate LOTS of yummy food. When we were hiking oaks was on brandon's shoulders and a guy hiked by us with his shirt off. Oaks saw him and kept saying, "Naked! Naked!" HAHA! It was hilarious! I don't know how I kept a straight face while the dude walked by us!

Elk Meadows

Ahhhhhh so cute
Playin in the creek by the condo

Brandon fishing at Puffer Lake
Aryn and Oakley
Oakley LOVED riding on the four wheeler, and Brandon LOVED taking her. It mostly just stressed me out..... but she does look cute in her helmet!!

We went down to Beaver up the canyon and stayed in my uncles condo at elk meadows with Brandon's fam...well some of them. It was sad, his dad got sick and had to leave early! Anyways, we went on some fun four wheeler rides, went fishing, and just had fun hanging out! It was fun to get away!

July 4th weekend

It was kinda cold, but we still had fun at the pool & splash pad
kisses to her fav baby, Annyess
Sitting on a rock, throwing rocks...at her aunt steph. One guess who taught her that game? one of the many reasons daddy is her favorite these days!!
Getting ready for a yummy breakfast in the canyon!
Chillin at the cruise in! she LOVED watching all the cars go by!

most afternoons oaks and I can be found here, in our "backyard", playin in the water!

We had such a fun 4th of July!! Friday night we went to the fireworks in Logan with our friends the Garfields. They rock! Brandon's parents came to Logan and hung out Sat and we all went to the cruise in. It was HOT, but fun!

Sunday after church, we went to my parents and spent the night and then went up the canyon for breakfast the next day. It was so much fun to take Oaks to a place where I have so many childhood memories! That was also the day that she switched sides. Meaning, she was done having me around and just wanted her daddy!! I tried to follow her and Brandon around and she would turn around and yell "NO! STOP!!" It was sad, but funny, and I followed and played with them anyway!

Later, we went swimming with my fam, and then had a yummy BBQ and fireworks and my mom's. Oaks was kinda scared of the fireworks, but still had fun. The 4th of July has always been my fav. holiday and we had so much fun this year!
